My research interests over the last three years have included community resilience and disaster risk reduction. My dissertation examined perceived community resilience in an agriculturally significant city also known as the “winter lettuce capitol of the world.” Most recently, I conducted research to examine the perceived community resilience of citizens from Conway, SC, many of whom endured the September 2018 Hurricane Florence flood.
